WHAT IS THE Game4CoSkills PROJECT?
The project “Mobile game for cognitive skills development and concept teaching for adults with intellectual disabilities” (acronym “Game4CoSkills“) aims to develop an e-game for the development of cognitive skills and the teaching of concepts for adults with intellectual disabilities to be used individually or in groups
PARTNERS OF THE GAME4COSKILLS PROJECT
The GameCoSkills project was carried out by six European organizations from Austria, Cyprus, France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Interactive 4D
INTERACTIVE 4D is a French SME specialized since 2010 in the design and development of serious games and gamified e-learning tools for the following fields:
- Professional training (learning games, LMS platforms and gamified e-learning modules).
- Education and public awareness (cultural heritage, environment, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship…).
- E-health (health assessment tools, telemedicine, health education of patients, training of healthcare professionals).
In the Game4CoSkills project, INTERACTIVE 4D was the coordinator and also was responsible for the design and the development of the game which offers a training program based on educational content designed by the project partners.
Austrian Association of Inclusive Society (AIS)
Austrian is a non-governmental organization based in Vienna, Austria, dedicated to interdisciplinary research that promotes innovation and collaboration in the fields of human rights, social inclusion and development.
AIS’s activities include research and analysis, evaluations, publications and advocacy, as well as convene and facilitate the exchange of ideas and open discussions that stimulate new thinking on current issues in Europe, while keeping a global perspective.
AIS holds conferences, workshops, trainings and other events that focus on social development , behavioural change and foster inclusion of youth and marginalised groups.
AIS has a strong reputation for producing independent quality studies, as well as engaging in international collaborative support and promoting good practices that generate relevant work. Inclusive Society currently works in delivering a wide variety of projects and advocates strategic influence in a range of sectors that touch on our focus thematic areas.
Staff members and volunteers are committed to fight for equal rights for all and to promote the full inclusion of socially disadvantaged, disabled and marginalised people in all aspects of life.
Eurasia Institute
The Eurasia Institute is a private educational institute based in Turkey.
The Eurasia Institute provide consultancy services in the field of education. They prepare educational contents and materials that are tailored to the needs of the institutions. Their competency in the preparation of educational content/materials enables their partners to catch up with the necessity of the age.
The Eurasia Institute offers various education contents. Among other subjects, they have an expertise in STEAM. STEAM is an educational approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics to provide students with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary learning experience. The inclusion of arts and design in the STEAM education model is believed to foster innovation and creativity by encouraging students to think outside the box and explore alternative approaches to problem-solving. By integrating art and design into the traditional STEM subjects, STEAM aims to promote a more holistic and interdisciplinary approach to education.
Alzheimer Hellas
The Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (Alzheimer Hellas) is a non for profit organization that was founded in 1995, by relatives of patients suffering from Alzheimer Disease as well as by doctors of all specialties – mainly by Neurologists and Psychiatrists and also by other experts (such as psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, etc.) that deal with the problems caused by this disease and by other types of dementia.
Today, Alzheimer Hellas operates two Day Care Centers in Thessaloniki and has over 4.000 members. The first Day Care Center for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease was established in 2007, and encompasses a Day center for caregivers and a home care unit. In October 2009 we expanded our services with the creation of a new Day Care Center. Both Day Care Centers were implemented within the frames of the operational program “Health – Provision 2000-2006” with the co- financing of the European Union and the Greek Ministry of Health.
The association’s aim is to offer advices concerning the care of the patients, information and services for the people affected and their families. Also, to offer mutual help to the family members of the patients in order to reduce the social, economic and emotional cost deriving from the long care of people suffering from dementia. Lastly, the association attempts to publicize the social needs of the population affected and to inform the public in order to be acquainted with the issue (or dementia).
Synthesis Center
We are Cyprus’ leader in social entrepreneurship and social innovation. We create and implement research and educational projects of social impact (particularly in the fields of social inclusion, employment, entrepreneurship, migrant integration, and sustainable development) and manage “Hub Nicosia”, a pionnering social innovation hub which houses and supports organisations, entrepreneurs and enterprises with social or environmental mission.
We provide mentoring and support to children and adolescents who are at risk of early school leaving. In addition, we support teachers and schools to develop programmes that can help pupils acquire life and entrepreneurial skills.
We also provide non-formal education to youth and adults. Our beneficiaries are people who are at the risk of social exclusion, including NEET youth, migrants, people with disabilities, or those with fewer opportunities. Our work focuses on developing a combination of knowledge, values and skills which will mobilise youth and adults to fully engage in civic, political and economic life.
As an accredited Vocational Education & Training provider, we focus on the development of training programmes that can empower small enterprises and their employees as well as enhance the employment of people who are at the margin of society.
SYNTHESIS aspires to take part in actions that improve individual lives, enhance social inclusion, and contribute to a green and sustainable future, for the people and the planet.
Euro-Net
Euro-Net is an Italian non-profit organization based in Potenza. Euro-Net acts as an information network and holds a prominent position in various European networks, as well as being recognized by several European institutions and networks such as Europe Direct and Eurodesk.
Euro-Net is actively involved in European funded projects, particularly in youth, inclusion, and civil service sectors.
